More Patterns – Confessions Continue

Trials & Tribulations

I have been working with the trial from the new Adobe Creative Suite 6 and I am loving the updates. The patterning tool is amazing and the results of my trials have been in this and the last post.

A Pattern Thing

It started for me with Lilly Pulitzer. Her designs were second to none. Bright, happy colors that made you feel like you were a socialite in Palm Springs in the sixties. Then came Vera Bradley another mistress of pattern. Her designs at first very much reminicent of  William Morris , but as the years progressed her patterns became more of a modern interpretation of those traditional designs.

Buddies Go Patterned

When I started to create my signature style, pattern played a big part. I did not know all of the geometries and how to create them well. As the years have gone by I have become more and more adventurous on how I use pattern and how I could create it.

Now I have the tools and expertise to go boldly forth into my own crazy patterned life. In the next few months we will introduce fabric and wallpaper patterns. These I can’t wait to share. So for now enjoy my experiments and let me know what you would love to see.
